Professional Funeral Services Tailored to your needs

Funeral prices can vary widely depending on factors such as location, type of service, and the specific arrangements made. Basic funeral costs typically cover services like transportation, preparation of the body, and the use of funeral facilities. Additional expenses might include the casket, burial plot or cremation services, and memorial services. In general, traditional funerals tend to be more expensive, while cremation services can offer more budget-friendly options. It's important to compare prices, as funeral homes and services may offer different packages, and many states require funeral homes to provide detailed price lists to help consumers make informed decisions.

As required by the Competitions and Markets Authority (CMA), we must display and make available for download the following Standardised Price List.

This list outlines our standard full pricing, as well as any Third Party costs that may arise during a funeral service. All funeral directors are obligated to display this document, which can serve as a helpful tool for comparing general pricing.

Simple and Affordable Direct Cremation Services

£1400 (no hidden costs)

A direct cremation, also known as an unattended funeral, is a cost-effective option compared to traditional funeral services. It involves the cremation of your loved one at a crematorium without any family or friends present. This choice may align with your loved one's wishes for a simple, no-fuss farewell, or it may be the family's preference for a more private and streamlined service. With a direct cremation, families have the flexibility to plan a memorial or celebration of life at a later time, when they feel ready.

We will respectfully bring your loved one into our care, whether from home, a nursing home, or a hospital, and handle all the necessary paperwork. Your loved one will be treated with dignity and care, placed in a suitable coffin, and dressed in their own clothes or a gown. Unlike many funeral directors, we offer the option for chapel visits during office hours.

After the cremation, we will either return the ashes to the family or arrange for them to be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance at the crematorium.

A green burial offers an environmentally friendly alternative to traditional burial or cremation. The goal of a natural burial is to minimize the impact on the earth, allowing your loved one's resting place to return to nature.

There are several woodland burial sites in nearby areas, including Glossop, Blackley, Adlington Memorial Park and Southern Cemetery in Manchester.

For a woodland burial, you can choose a coffin made from sustainable, biodegradable materials such as wicker, bamboo, banana leaf, or even cardboard.

Benefits of a natural burial include:

  • A reduction in your 'carbon footprint'

  • A peaceful, natural setting that becomes a wildlife habitat for future generations to visit

  • Environmentally friendly coffins that decompose without releasing toxins into the earth

  • No embalming chemicals used, as most natural burial sites do not permit embalming
